Samanta Krishnapillai is a Narrative Strategist, Cultural Placemaker and Systems Design Architect. As the founder of Group Project Initiatives—home to On Canada Project, Social Good Collective, and 15TGAF—she builds alternative infrastructures that help everyday people move beyond passive awareness and overwhelm toward collective care and action.
As a first-generation Tamil-Canadian and future ancestor, Samanta channels her lived experiences with C-PTSD and systemic oppression into strategies that are evidence-informed yet emotionally honest, politically grounded, and behaviorally strategic. She doesn’t just call out what’s broken—she reveals the mechanics behind it, then builds accessible entry points for meaningful change.
Her trauma-informed, decolonial pedagogy has reached millions through On Canada Project, which she launched during her Master’s as a grassroots health communication tool in June 2020. She has scaled her work into Group Project Initiatives, working to move everyday people from guilt into action, from confusion into coherence, from feeling disempowered into taking action.
Her kind, direct approach—infused with millennial humor and neurodivergent clarity—creates a disarming invitation into the messy, beautiful work of reckoning with the world as it is, while staying rooted in hope, collective care, and the belief that we can build something better—together.
