What (else) could go wrong? A case study on live streaming events

Wednesday, March 31, 2021 1:00 PM EST

Join CALM’s editor, Nora Loreto for this 90-minute workshop looking at live streaming events. Nora will share her experience live streaming a physical event commemorating the anniversary of the Quebec City Mosque shooting in the era of COVID-19. Learn what to expect, what to be prepared for, and what she wishes she knew before the event. Nora will cover planning and logistics, technology use and limitations, and how to create an event experiencing just the right amount of stress – the amount that keeps you on your toes but still allows you to sleep the night before. It will cover technical logistics on site, necessary virtual support, volunteers, advertising, planning in the lead-up to the event, managing simultaneous interpretation and measuring success.
