Podcasting 101 – Technical

Purple and Orange Microphone Illustrative News & Politics Podcast Cover

Join CALM Editor (and co-host of the popular podcast Sandy and Nora) to learn the basics of podcasting. This workshop will be offered in two blocks: one to examine the technical side of podcasts and the other the explain how to craft a narrative and elaborate the content of your podcast.

Podcasting 101 – Technical

There has been a swell of interest in podcasting, especially during the pandemic as people are finding new ways to connect with one another. Podcasting is appealing because it’s so accessible and personal, and a podcast can be created with nearly no technical expertise and by using inexpensive equipment.

Nora Loreto will explain what technical equipment you will need, and how it works, to help you start your own podcast. From mics to mixers, software to hardware, everything you wanted to know about the technical aspect of making a podcast will be answered! Don’t let poor sound quality or fears related to your technical prowess get in the way of your podcasting dreams.
