A zine is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine. For this presentation,
participants will learn the history of zines, their ongoing cultural impact, and have an opportunity to make their own zines

Blake McLeod (they/them) is a Cree nonbinary queer artist living and working in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory. Through the means of printmaking, filmmaking, illustration, graphic design, photo, video, and radio, they strive to build an intimate community for folks to feel free and safe to be who they are.
