Carl Mavromichalis is a communications and stakeholder engagement expert with over 25 years of experience in communications, research and public affairs. He founded Converso, a virtual meetings and communications consultancy, in 2016 following nearly 20 years of working in various sectors and roles.
Carl is an Accredited Business Communicator and has worked for and as a consultant to many leading labour organizations, including the Service Employees International Union, Canadian Labour Congress, Alberta Union of Provincial Employees, United Food & Commercial Workers (National, Locals 401, 1518, an 832), Unifor, Public Service Alliance of Canada, Canadian Union of Public Employees (National), Professional Institute of the Public Service, the Air Canada Pilots Association, the Air Line Pilots Association and more.
Converso has been a leading provider of telephone town halls since 2016 to many labour and governmental organizations. Carl founded Motion Meetings, an all-in-one meeting and voting system, in 2022 as a result of the limitations of existing software that prevented labour clients from efficiently conducting ‘business as usual’ in the pandemic.
Carl has an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Guelph and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Ryerson University. He also has a specialization in Crisis Management and is an Associate with CS&A International, a boutique crisis firm based in Belgium.
