Daniel Fung is the Communications Officer for MoveUP, a union based in British Columbia which represents nearly 14,000 union members in both the public and private sector. In his role, he supports the union’s numerous communications campaigns both for internal and external audiences. He also provides communications support to the union’s leadership, including speechwriting and message crafting, and is the co-editor for the union’s magazine, the Local Voice, in addition to managing the union’s web and social media presence.
Prior to joining MoveUP, Daniel worked for the Coquitlam School District and in various communications capacities within the amateur sport industry. He has also been a freelance writer with his works appearing in several online publications.
Outside of MoveUP, he is involved with the BC chapter of the Asian Canadian Labour Alliance.
Daniel has a BA in Communications and a minor in Publishing from Simon Fraser University.
