Karen Mills is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Calgary, Alberta. She works with media outlets, heritage organizations, and businesses to create branding, wearable products, and educational resources. Growing up in Canada’s Maritime provinces, she is a graduate of NSCAD University and NSCC, both in Nova Scotia. A community volunteer, her primary inspiration is the experiences of working people, past and present.
